Bus (Auto) Service Technician

Service Technician wanted for a growing bus dealer. Transportation Equipment Sales Corp (TESCO), one of the largest bus dealerships in the country, sells and services wheelchair equipped vans, light, medium and heavy duty buses and other vehicles. A service technician is needed to perform light to medium vehicle maintenance. This includes but is not limited to servicing customer owned buses, pre-delivery service of used buses and installation of add-on items to newly sold buses. We are looking for a well rounded candidate capable in most fields of repair with emphasis on electrical diagnosis. Most work will be performed at our main service center in Oregon, Ohio on weekdays.

Requirements Include:

  • Vocational or hands-on technical training in automotive repair
  • Ability to use sophisticated diagnostic tools such as a/c charging system, alignment machine, engine diagnostic scan tools, and computer based work order tracking system
  • ASE certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, crawl and twist while operating equipment and tools
  • CDL with passenger endorsement preferred but not required
  • Positive attitude and good work ethic

Compensation is based on experience and certifications. Normal hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Mon-Fri with overtime opportunities. Bid Analyst/Contract Manager

Seeking a Bid Analyst/Contract Manager for a growing bus dealer. The Bid Analyst/Contract Manager works with the bid manager, sales representatives and ordering personnel to manage large vehicle contracts. The analyst will also review detailed bid specifications and create bid proposals. Job duties also may include maintenance of pricing database and vendor relations.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be skilled in MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Prior experience with automotive component cost estimating preferred

Parts Shipping/Receiving/Delivery

Basic Function:

Primary duties to include: shipping and receiving parts orders, inventory management including regular cycle counts and spot checks, stocking and organizing parts and pick-ups and delivery of parts via our company vehicles.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Package and label parts for shipping, outgoing parts orders
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
  • Stock and organize inbound parts for inventory
  • Assist scheduled physical inventory counts
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area
  • Pick up and deliver parts from vendors and to customers
  • Other departmental duties as assigned

Skills:

Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Must have driver’s license and ability to lift 50 pounds. 21+ years of age.

Delivery Technician

Basic Function:

Ensure that all vehicles are delivered to customer specifications per the sales personnel.

Essential Job Functions (The following functions are included but not limited to):

  • Detail interiors of buses
  • Paint bumpers, mirror brackets, seat base and any other components attached to the bus that may need a quick refurbish while on the unit
  • Buff buses as needed
  • Wash and detail the outside of the units to the salesperson’s specifications
  • Remove, recover and or replace necessary seat issues
  • Remove graphics when needed
  • Perform overflow from body shop when needed
  • Seam buses when needed
  • All other duties that maybe assigned from the Service Manager

Skills and Qualifications:

Communication with a professional environment, via e-mail and phone. Ability to follow direction and complete tasks with specific timelines.

Electrician, TESCO Specialty Vehicles (TSV)

Basic Function:

Full-time, skilled Electrician for our manufacturing team. This position has responsibility for interpreting electrical prints and installing high voltage, low voltage, networking, and audio/video wiring to produce specialty vehicles. Responsibilities also include diagnosing electrical problems using diagrams or blueprints, installing and repairing electrical systems, inspecting, troubleshooting, and conducting tests. Ability to create a customized project plan to meet customer’s needs. Collaborate on ongoing improvements and innovation of our specialty vehicles. This position offers the opportunity to learn about alternative energy and solar power systems and then lead installation and development of these systems across TSV product lines.

RV Technician

RV Technician wanted for a growing bus and specialty vehicle distributor, come join our rapidly growing team! The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of RV experience and the ability to diagnose all RV related issues, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general RV systems. We are open to training and working with the right candidate, even if you do not have RV experience. If you are a handyman and/or have mechanical background knowledge or general maintenance technician experience.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Expertly diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing after discussing with clients and examining RV to determine nature of problem
  • Presents job cost estimates and parts replacement needs/suggestions
  • Troubleshoots pneumatic, hydraulic, electromechanical, and electronic problems and performs necessary adjustment, repair, or overhaul
  • Completes repairs to plumbing, propane gas lines, and electrical wiring as needed
  • Maintenance on refrigerators, air conditioning, water systems, slide outs, generators, plumbing, flooring, electrical and all general RV repair
  • Removes damaged exterior panels and repairs and replaces structural frame pieces
  • Performs other duties as assigned

RV Trailer Service Technician Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of RV Technician/Mechanic experience preferred
