Basic Function:

Vehicle Engineering & Design, Quality Assurance, Project Scoping, & Manufacturing Shop Management

TESCO SPECIALTY VEHICLES LLC (TSV) has a need for an Engineering and Manufacturing Manager. The individual will manage the production in our 2nd stage manufacturing facilities and oversee the design and manufacturing of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met. TSV employees in engineering, electrical, and installation report directly to this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Meeting production goals.
  • Plans and directs the supervision of the employees and activities to ensure continuous improvements in performance and process enhancements.
  • Provides critical support and solutions, always maintaining open communication with other departments for maximum efficiency.
  • Participates actively and collaboratively as a member of the operations team offering recommendations and ideas where appropriate.

  • Participates in the design review of products to meet customer requirements and TSV goals.
  • Develops project documentation in accordance with customer requirements to ensure project information is properly organized and archived.
  • Recommends and takes corrective action in compliance with quality audits, issues, etc.
  • Promotes safety through active participation and support of company safety policies and programs and initiates corrective action for recognized unsafe conditions or hazards. Reports any incident, regardless of severity, including fire, equipment damage, and facility damage to the appropriate parties.
  • Oversees development and assembly of specialty vehicles by providing documentation and assistance to ensure high quality products are built in a timely manner.
  • Signs off on every vehicle for quality and safety before customer delivery.

Education, Training, and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Knowledge of financial systems to manage departmental costs and formulate budgets.

Electrician, TESCO Specialty Vehicles (TSV)

Basic Function:

Full-time, skilled Electrician for our manufacturing team. This position has responsibility for interpreting electrical prints and installing high voltage, low voltage, networking, and audio/video wiring to produce specialty vehicles. Responsibilities also include diagnosing electrical problems using diagrams or blueprints, installing and repairing electrical systems, inspecting, troubleshooting, and conducting tests. Ability to create a customized project plan to meet customer’s needs. Collaborate on ongoing improvements and innovation of our specialty vehicles. This position offers the opportunity to learn about alternative energy and solar power systems and then lead installation and development of these systems across TSV product lines.

Vehicle Delivery and Customer Training Lead- Specialty Vehicles

Basic Function: Vehicle Delivery, Warranty, Preventative Maintenance, & Customer Training

TESCO SPECIALTY VEHICLES LLC has a need for a driver to delivery our specialty vehicles and complete onsite training. The individual in this position will work with the Director of Specialty Services to advance program standards and tools. This position requires becoming a product knowledge expert and will complete on-site delivery and training of our specialty vehicles to the customer. This position requires ongoing interaction with customers via help desk portal, including warranty claims and other duties as assigned. As the program grows, the individual in this position will lead specialty vehicle drivers/trainers and facilitate continuous daily improvement. Training will be delivered throughout the United States and Canada.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the direction (remotely) of the Senior Director, this position works with customers to facilitate delivery and onsite training to support vehicle launch. The trainer works with a comprehensive knowledge of the brand, including products, vision, and training priorities to conduct customer training and coaching. This position requires supporting warranty claims and subsequent resolution. The individual in this position will perform the following duties and is responsible to:

  • Facilitate onsite interactive training sessions in accordance with performance standards.
  • Safely drive specialty vehicles to appointed destination on a weekly basis; will return home each week.
  • Complete (remote) follow up visit with customer to support program launch.
  • Responsible for performance improvement and product training with assigned customers.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement from customer interactions and bring this back to TSV team for continuous improvement of product line and processes.

Bus (Auto) Service Technician

Service Technician wanted for a growing bus dealer. Transportation Equipment Sales Corp (TESCO), one of the largest bus dealerships in the country, sells and services wheelchair equipped vans, light, medium and heavy duty buses and other vehicles. A service technician is needed to perform light to medium vehicle maintenance. This includes but is not limited to servicing customer owned buses, pre-delivery service of used buses and installation of add-on items to newly sold buses. We are looking for a well rounded candidate capable in most fields of repair with emphasis on electrical diagnosis. Most work will be performed at our main service center in Oregon, Ohio on weekdays.

Requirements Include:

  • Vocational or hands-on technical training in automotive repair
  • Ability to use sophisticated diagnostic tools such as a/c charging system, alignment machine, engine diagnostic scan tools, and computer based work order tracking system
  • ASE certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, crawl and twist while operating equipment and tools
  • CDL with passenger endorsement preferred but not required

Compensation is based on experience and certifications. This position is currently flat rate pay with bonuses when goals are met. RV Technician

RV Technician wanted for a growing bus and specialty vehicle distributor, come join our rapidly growing team!
