Let’s uncover details on the refreshed wheelchair lifts from BraunAbility.

DPA Wheelchair Lift Updates:

Enhanced features include:

  • Hand-controlled remote with illuminated function buttons
  • AutoTite* to prevent pressure loss and rattling while idle
  • Lighter weight for quicker service of hose/wiring

*AutoTite is a new feature that automatically manages the lift stow position. If drifting is detected, the lift will automatically re-stow to prevent rattling during transit. If the lift-stowed input is not enabled, the other lift functions will continue to operate as normal. AutoTite requires a 403-shift interlock input and a lift-stowed input to operate.

Design improvements include:

  • A pump design that prevents the platform from folding in use
  • Options for platform width and length
  • Dual handrails for security and convenience
  • Resistant high-gloss powder-coated finish
  • Durable rubber nose guard on platform

Specifications:

  • The maximum floor-to-ground travel is 48 inches
  • 800-lb lifting capacity
  • Lift-integrated FMVSS 404 lighting
  • Fully automatic FMVSS 403 compliant

Operators and riders will also benefit from more safety improvements like:

  • Visual and audible warnings to notify the operator of unsafe conditions
  • Powder-coated yellow paint for higher visibility

Overall, the lifts are more ergonomic, easier to troubleshoot, and are safer for both the operator and rider.

Check with your manufacturer for models affected by these changes.
