Ohio Department of Transportation Cooperative Purchasing Program
TESCO can provide all popular ADA vehicles available through this contract. Below is the full lineup of vehicles available under the current ODOT contract, ranging from the small minivan to the large bus.
Modified Minivan (MMV)
The Modified Minivan is available through BraunAbility. This van is available with a side entry or rear entry configuration.
Full Size Gasoline Powered Van with Standard Floor and Sliding Door (AV)
This Ford Transit van comes with a sliding passenger entrance door and is great for rural or last mile operations. The base vehicle has two wheelchair positions and two ambulatory seats. It also includes fold down seats to carry up to seven ambulatory passengers. Multiple options are available to modify the base configurations to meet your specific agency needs.
Full Size Gasoline Powered Van with Standard Floor and Bus Door (AV with Bus Door)
This Ford Transit van is similar to the base van available from TESCO except instead of a sliding door for passengers, it features a bus door for ambulatory entrance.
Full Size Gasoline Powered Van with Standard Floor, Bus Door and Separate Side Entrance Wheelchair Lift (AV with Bus Door and Side Bus Lift)
This Ford Transit van is similar to the full size van with bus door but larger. In addition to a bus style ambulatory entrance, it also has a bus style dedicated side entry wheelchair lift entrance.
Full Size ELECTRIC Van with Standard Floor and Sliding Door (AV Electric)
This is the new Ford eTransit van. It comes with a standard Level 2 charger with an option for a Pro Charger.
Full Size Gasoline Powered Van with Low Floor and Sliding Bus Door (AV Low Floor)
This relatively new vehicle on the market offers a low floor with ramp design within a standard size van. It does not require a wheelchair lift that is noisy, prone to failures, and takes longer to load passengers.
Gasoline Powered Minibus with Low Floor and Sliding Bus Door (22 ft LTL)
This 22 foot low floor minibus is built on the Promaster chassis and features similar floorspace as the LTV with a smaller wheelbase and lowered floor design. Standard ODOT floorplans are listed here but there are additional floorplans available.
Gasoline Powered Small Bus with Low Floor and Swing Out Bus Door (25 ft LTL)
This 25 foot low floor small bus is built on the Chevrolet Express cutaway chassis. This vehicle is the most affordable low floor bus on the market. Standard ODOT floorplans are listed here but there are additional floorplans available.
Gasoline Powered Narrow Body Small Bus (LTN)
This Glaval bus is built on the Ford Transit cutaway chassis. This vehicle has a narrow body for easier maneuverability. It offers traditional bus floorplans with a Braun wheelchair lift. Standard ODOT floorplans are listed here but there are additional floorplans available.
Gasoline Powered Wide Body Bus (LTV-FS)
This Glaval bus is built with fiberglass sidewalls on the Ford E-Series cutaway chassis. This vehicle has a wide body for better wheelchair positioning and ambulatory seating. It offers a variety of traditional bus floorplans with a Braun wheelchair lift. Standard ODOT floorplans are listed here but there are additional floorplans available.
