“This purchase was through MDOT and the RTA. The process from their end has not been smooth. So no fault of TESCO, the process was lacking coordinated information in regards to state and federal policies and the knowledge of MDOT's vendors approved pricing. And since the process took so long, the vehicle delivered was different than what was quoted. It still met the correct configuration, but the model had to change. As far as purchasing another bus from TESCO, sure, if they become MDOT's low-bid vendor again when the time comes for our agency to replace a bus.”

“I received and turned in the wrong form to DOT the first time. The signed certificates could have come sooner so I could get the paperwork to the DOT within their 10-day recommendation. The van works as it should so far. I did have to loosen the gate springs so it would stay down when loading.”

“After leaving Tesco I did have to find a Auto Repair shop to fix the Molding on the left side of Bus that had come loose and eventually ripped off and was flapping in the wind. One of those things that probably got over looked, I know I wish I would have noticed before I had left because it waisted an One and a half hours try to find someone to help fasten down. “The only feedback I have on this and previous purchases from you is the quality of the paint jobs. I completely understand that these are used buses and have gone through a clean up prior to being sold to us, but there is always overspray on areas that should not have it. There is orange peeling to indicate a quick spray and no follow through care to ensure quality. This has been an issue when trying to apply graphics. It is the only aspect of my experiences that seems cheap and sub-par.”

“We encountered issues with the van shortly after receiving it. TESCO has assisted us with one of the issues but the other issue required repairs. Given the van went through TESCO’s process to check the van, make sure all systems were in good working order and fix any issues identified prior to delivery of the van, this repair was unexpected. This will factor in to my decision prior to purchasing vehicles from TESCO in the future. The sales representative has very easy to work with and has been helpful throughout doing business with TESCO.”

I get everything is going up in price, but $40,000 is a little extensive. We will do business with Tesco again, but we will be shopping the competition to confirm best pricing.”
