“Delivered early, all good!! Excellent customer service, great responsiveness. Hopefully will be doing more business in the future!”
-
“We are very happy with the service and support from TESCO. Noel has been awesome with every van we have purchased. Thank You!”
-
“Jeff Scharf is a huge reason that I use TESCO. Jeff has always been easy to work with and quick to resolve issues. At times we do get frustrated with the service area and have in the past not felt valued as a customer by that group. Also, it would be nice to have a consistant list of available TESCO approved vendors to use in our areas. Thank you for our years of great relationship Dave H.”

“I want to thank everyone involved for helping us get a new bus as quickly and efficiently as possible. Thanks for helping us meet our need for transportation for 3 wheelchair users so quickly.”
-
“Bryan was a great non pressure salesman. Though we considered full size vans, the turtle top is definitely working better than the other options we looked at.”
-
“Brian McDougle was AWESOME in making this purchase happen for us! WE thank him for picking up our driver at the airport and getting the bus on the road for us as promised!”
-
“This vehicle was the result of a State Bidding process by ODOT that awarded us the vehicle.”
-
“Vehicles acquired through a Ohio Department of Transportation Grant. We were not involved in the bidding process or anything involving the vendor selection.”
-
“There was a large bundle of wiring behind the drivers seat that was not explained as to what it was for, otherwise everything looked good”
-
“Thank you very much for your very good service, your help and the quality of your products. Dan.”

“Our overall experience with Tesco was great. Blair was extremely knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. A couple of points impressed us: First, my company is generally not involved in buying buses and knew next to nothing about it. Blair made a great effort to understand our purchasing process and was very flexible in adapting his approach to meet our needs. Secondly, even after getting the order and the down payment, Blair & everyone at Tesco was extremely service oriented, even though it is unlikely that we will be in the market to buy a new bus anytime in the foreseeable future. We sincerely appreciated doing business with Blair and the rest of the Tesco organization and feel very comfortable recommending you to anyone looking to purchase buses.”
-
“Very satisfied with the transaction, especially greatful to Danny for all of his help. Only criticism, when the bus was delivered the driver had no idea how the handicap appliances worked. We had no idea how to fasten in a wheelchair with the rigging that was supplied. We still have some question on the lift ramp. That concerns the lights and what happens if a driver forgets to turn off the switch for the handicap lift/ramp. Does it have a timer or will the batteries die?”
-
“we recieved this vehicle through an ODOT grant, some of the choices were out of my control. I have been satisfied with Tesco quality in general and have no complaints. Still waiting on our memo title.”
-
“Would have expected that the bags to hold the wheelchairs tie-downs would have been installed on the bus before delivery. Instead the bags were sent afterwards and it became our task to install them. This may sound like a small thing but we are an end-user that does not operate a repair shop. We have to find someone to install these. It's an irritation to have to do so.”

“I fle into Detroit ant Bryan Mcdougle picked us up. that was great. We looked at and purchased the bus and then drove it 500+ miles home. I had no problems until I esited off on the exit to my company and then two power steering hoses broke. I took to a local shop and had replaced. they sdvised me that the lines were very rusted and replaced them-cost of $395.00. After that I sent the bus to my Salem, MO daycare and the first trip out they loaded the wheelchair clients up with no problem. However when the went to operate tyhe lift again it would not work. I ;had a local mechanic look at it and he was able to get it working but stated that the wiring on the interlock switches was bad. I am a little disappointd in the bus as far a mechanically is conserned. I really feel that it should have been more thouroughly inspected before it was sold. I wiuld really appreciate someone from the company calling to discuss this.”
Response from TESCO
This was a "wholesale bus". TESCO always recommeds purchasing a late model used bus as compared to older buses because the routine and unexpected service cost on an older bus can be high overtime.
-
“Ross is a great asset to your company. He represents the company exceptionally well and is proud of the business his family has built!”
-
“Jack Richardson was very helpful and worked hard to deliver what we wanted. We had a small glitch with the rails getting into the bus and Josh has been patient and thorough following up. The residents are delighted and we are proud to have our bus out and about.”
-
“I had a good experience with Tesco at my last employer. That is why I chose Tesco again. We got the exact vehicle that we wanted at a fair price.”
-
“Have purchased several buses from Bryan from Tesco. Always top notch to deal with .”
-
“TESCO offered the only vehicle that exactly met our specifications. Your price was the best as well. Thanks for the free delivery - a sweet bonus! Jeff Scharff was great, a true professional. Phill G., Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, Waterloo IA (319)404-4382 phill.goedken@gmail.com We will be back in 2 to 3 years for another bus.”
-
“We did not get warranty information on Wheelchair lift,Vehicle Body warranty, Rear Air conditioner warranty, There is no third brake light installed on the van's.”
Response from TESCO
Warranty Information sheets accompany all paperwork when purchasing a new bus. Josh Wise ext 471, TESCO's warranty manager and customer service advisor works everyday to help satisfy our customers during times of warranty and service related issues. Commercial vehicles such as buses are not required to have center mounted brake lights although themajority of TESCO buses do have them.
-
“We purchased our first shuttle van from TESCO, a couple of years ago. I would not go with anyone else. Service and price were good, along with vehicles to choose from. I would recommend to everyone.”
-
“I felt my overall experience with Tesco was good. I felt a bit uncomfortable buying a used bus on a promise that "we'll get it fixed up" but was generally pleased with the finished product. The bus looked great and it appeared several things had been taken care of that I had expressed concern about. After purchase, the check engine light came on with issues that should have been addressed...someone cleared the codes without addressing the problem. I was also stranded with a starter problem due to a loose wire a couple weeks after the purchase. So...I was hoping to purchase a good used bus from Tesco and felt the purchase process was fair but was hoping to buy something that did not require me to address repair issues so frequently. Thanks/Bob C./Downsize Farm”
-
“looking for a good clean used vehicle and you were in the right place at the right time for our needs”
-
“Second bus purchased from TESCO in last 2 years. Jack Richardson is aces and was of great help both times. Won't need a new bus for some time, but when we do, I will call Jack.”
-
“Although the sales experience was smoothe. We have not had the bus two weeks and the transmission died leaving us with a bill of $4600 which we cannot afford as a small business. There should have been a more thorough inspection by Tesco before selling this minibus. Brass Castle Human Services, Inc.”
Response from TESCO
TESCO now offers GWC warranty protection on all our used buses. This covers unexpected issues, including engines and transmissions. Ask your sales rep about the 3 year 45,000 mile warranty protection available. Prices are very affordable.
-
“Overall, I was very pleased with Jack Richardson who was the Sales Representative for our TWO bus purchases. It was a new process for Jack and our company to have buses come across from the US to Canada. The buses were delivered on time (which was one of our main requirements). The only thing that was missed was that the broker had requested a NAFTA form be completed, but it was not. Jack indicated via email 'I talked to Dave and we will get him the form on Tuesday when our office reopens. Not sure why it was not sent I have it as part of our proceedures but I will find out and make sure we have it corrected.'”
-
“Overall we had a great experience. The vehicle is exactly what we wanted. The only concern we have is that it was stated the vehicle would be come in "inspection" condition, yet the battery was not secured and the bus failed the inspection. Although this was not a "big" deal, we had to deal with the ISP twice in one week and inconvenience them to come to our childcare center. One a brighter note, Danny was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. He was responsive and was quick to walk me through this process. Thank you.”
-
“I had a great experience purchasing a bus with Bryan McDougle. I would contact Tesco first in the future as we need more buses. We are very pleased with our bus. Steve Esterline”
-
“Great , and very helpful, and attentive salesperson. Definitely recoomend your company to others. Thank you very much .”
-
“The paint job on the white mid buses and the trim on the 5311 dulley wheeled INDOT vehicles do not last long. They come apart near the front of the cab around the autmatic doors. The paint chips VERY easily on the hood. I have to get at least two repainted in order to not look bad from a PR standpoint.”
Response from TESCO
TESCO has corrected the paint problems on these buses and has changed paint vendors to prevent future issues.
-
“I had a great experience. Tesco had the bus we needed at a great price. The customer service was excellent! I will buy from Tesco in the future as the need arises. Steve E.”
-
“they have really good vehicles and for a good price with great representatives...”
-
“I chose to do business with Tesco because of the low mileage and better prices. My salesman was extremely helpful and made the whole process less complicated for us.”
-
“Brent has been great! I am always glad to give you positive references - spoke with Tom Titus from Charleston this morning!”
-
“Blair Taesoff was very professional and good to deal with”
-
“The delivery people were very helpful. We had some problems arranging for delivery because of ODOT contract requirements that they confirm delivery 2X (once when the vehicles arrived at TESCO and again upon completion of mods). I got the first call and confirmed delivery, but was unable to take the 2nd call. The end result was that the vehicle was delivered a week later. There have been some small trim problems, such as the wheelchair door latch that holds it open. It fell off on one of the buses.”
-
“This was actually the first time I ever heard of Tesco, and I was just driving by and happened to see your facility. My salesman, Bryan McDougle was very courtious and attentative. It was a good experience, and the followup was very appreciated.”
-
“This is my second response to the survey. The light transit vehicle that we received is thru the Indiana Department of Transportation. We are very happy with our vehicle.”
-
“Working with Brett was a pleasure. Purchasing this vehicle required input and approval from several departments in our organization, a process that took a lot of time. Throughout the process, Brett was patient and understanding. We also appreciated the fine customer service our team received when they flew out to inspect the vehicle as well as our driver when the deal was finally done. We'd purchase another vehicle from Tesco in a heartbeat! Steve N. Fleet Coordinator Puget Sound Blood Center Seattle, WA”
-
“we were very pleased except for how clean the van was when we picked it up. The outside was clean, but the inside under the van seats was not.”
-
“The small transit vehicles that our organization ordered were through an INDOT 5310 grant. Since all ordering, etc. is done through the State of Indiana, we have no control over many of the survey subject questions such as, the reason why we purchased the vehicles through TESCO or if other manufacturers were considered. In addition, the low rating on the time frame the vehicles were delivered, again, had to do with delays through INDOT, not TESCO.”
-
“We had purchased a mini-bus from Tesco two years ago and had a great experience. We returned to Tesco for a second purchase because things had gobe so well the first time.”
-
“We have had long lasting relationship with Tesco and hope to continue. The Bus we purchased unfortunately did not come to us with the features we expected. However our sales representative is working with us for resolution. We will definitely continue to call on Tesco first anytime we are in the market for another vehicle.”
-
“Overall, you created a favorable impression. However, your negatives on this sale were slow after sale follow-up on one item and no follow-up on another.”
-
“we had purchased a Tesco Bus years before,we had great success with it. Thank you and especially to steve for all the work and taking great care of us susie PS~~~ not sure of what you want with the How would you rank Tesco, everyone of the questions would be a 5,as everything you did took care of us”
-
“I have filled this out before. I was very pleased that your company kept their word on everything.”
-
“Jeff S. is the best!”
-
“I was dissapointed with the final paperwork that could have been easily taken care of for a state checklist. A day after I recieved my bus I called Bryan McDougle to ask if they could postdate my state checklist. He said he would check. I called back to find out where we stood and while talking with Bryan, Noel Graham decided to let me know he was on the line and they wouldn't do it. I am trying to understand that if it was checked off at your location to begin with, why it was a big deal. I was just looking for the checklist to correspond with the same date your mechanics had already checked it off. After talking with Noel he said it was no big deal to do it ahead of time and if I asked they would of done it. My point is if TESCO sells to customers every day and you know that people need this then why not go ahead and ask if this is something needed. If you are truly looking to better customer service and reading these surveys then give a customer a checklist.”

“This was our first experience with making this kind of a purchase for our assisted living home. We researched many company's and looked into many busses prior to doing so. I don't mind saying that we were initially overwhelmed with the thought of purchasing this type of vehicle, most particularly from an out of state company (nothing available locally) and due to our lack of knowledge in the area. Then I spoke with Danny Myrice, my first experience with TESCO. Our conversation on the topic of busses was so pleasant, unlike any other. He relieved us of many fears and was extremely helpful in pointing us in the right direction for our need. We couldn't be more happy with our purchase or our dealings with your company. We look forward to doing business in the years ahead - you can thank Danny for that! Most Sincerely, Linda S..”
-
“Very good experience with Brent. Bud was very helpful as well. A couple of gliches along the way but that is too be expected. We really appreciate all the help we received in the purchase of this bus.”
-
“My only complaint would be that the vehicle was not delivered on time, and noone even called us to tell us that the vehicle had not been picked up. I had to initiate all the emails and calls. Other than this, everything was fantastic!”
-
“I was pleased with the customer service, and our church is enjoying our bus.”
-
“I jsut wnat to let you know we are very happy with Tesco our special thanks to Noel and Melissa”
-
“It has been a very good experience dealing with your company.”
-
“We were extremely satisfied with our buses and service.”
-
“Our bus was delivered with a service engine light on, after 2 trips to the dealership it was found that a wiring harness was inproperly tapped in, there was also paint overspray on the steering column that wasn't noticed until a few days after delivery.”
-
“We had already leased a Resco vehicle in the past.”
-
“The two young men that delivered the vehicle were as nice as can be. The sales rep was most helpful thoughtout the purchasing of the vehicle. The over all experince was good. Zelda C.”
-
“Danny Myrice was very easy to work with and put in extra effort to make sure we got the vehicle we needed.”
